*Action Area 2: What health literacy work for NCDs is being done for children and adolescents and in the education sectors?*
This includes process to inform people during early stages of life or in educational settings (schools and universities). It develops knowledge, motivation and competencies of children, parents and teachers concerning addressing any or all risk factors for NCDs (e.g. tobacco use, harmful use of alcohol, unhealthy diets, physical inactivity, air pollution and mental health conditions, and also the double burden of malnutrition and obesity, oral health, basic hygiene, body, healthy behaviour, health services) to promote and maintain health throughout life.
This is one of the most important action area as developing healthy lifestyle practices from early stages of life can help to achieve sustainable results.
