World Diabetes Foundation

World Diabetes Foundation (WDF) was established in 2002 with the vision to alleviate human suffering related to diabetes among those in greatest need. WDF supports sustainable, scalable and policy-based approaches, helping countries improve access to care for diabetes and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through health system strengthening and health promotion. WDF builds long-term partnerships with governments, civil society, international lead agencies, and the private sector, and is also engaged in regional and global advocacy. WDF has so far granted more than EUR 200m to projects in more than 100 countries, some of which have become government-led and nationwide NCD response programmes.
