Efforts to Address the Burden of Non-Communicable Diseases Need Local Evidence and Shared Lessons from High-Burden Countries

The burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is rising in low and middle-income countries, particularly Tanzania, where NCDs account for a significant portion of the health burden alongside ongoing communicable diseases. This paper discuses the need for tailored interventions and local ownership in addressing these health challenges.
