Each year more than 400,000 children are diagnosed with cancer globally. The vast majority of these children with cancer live in low and middle-income countries (LMIC), where they face unacceptable inequities in early detection, diagnosis, and access to quality treatment and palliative care.
In the past four years WHO with the support of over 100 global partners has accelerated implementation in more than 65 countries across the six WHO regions. Through the implementation of the CureAll Framework Member States are progressing towards the Initiative’s objectives by:
On February 15, 2023, WHO will convene representatives from Member States, official partners, childhood cancer survivors and other non-state actors to reflect on the current progress achieved globally through the implementation of CureAll Pillars and Enablers, to share best practices and lessons learned and to promote equity in the delivery of care for children facing cancer.
