Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Hypertension Control Programs

This document describes the Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Hypertension Control Programs, a collaboration between the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Hypertension League (WHL). It provides a foundation that allows countries, based on their own resources and priorities, to select indicators for their monitoring and evaluation efforts and strongly recommends the use of the five core indicators of the Global HEARTS cardiovascular disease management technical package and one additional PAHO-WHL core indicator.
