NCD Alliance hosted an open advocacy webinar on 25 June 2025 to provide updates and share intelligence on negotiations towards the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health and the associated Political Declaration. Given the high level of activity from alliances at the global, regional, and national levels, as well as from our partners and members, it was an opportunity to touch base and discuss the successes and challenges we have all faced in trying to influence this inter-governmental process.
Regional alliance representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean shared their experience collaborating with their members on regional-specific advocacy and the importance of building relationships with missions and capitals — a useful strategy for the NCD community to use in the final weeks and months of advocacy on the Political Declaration.
