Health Effects Institute
The Health Effects Institute (HEI), in collaboration with the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) and the NCD Alliance, will launch the State of Global Air 2025 report on Friday, 31 October 2025. The report provides a comprehensive analysis of levels and trends in air quality and related health impacts for every country in the world, covering the period 1990–2023.
This year’s edition builds on previous assessments and includes new insights into the links between air pollution and noncommunicable diseases, as well as data on the impacts of air pollution on dementia. It presents trends for key pollutants including PM2.5 (ambient and household), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) and ozone. The launch webinar will highlight key findings, discuss implications for policy and action, and explore ways to use the data for advancing clean air and health agendas globally.
The event will take place on Friday, 31 October 2025, at 0900 BRT | 1200 GMT | 1300 CET | 1400 SAST | 1500 EAT | 1730 IST | 1900 ICT.
