Meaningful Engagement of People with Lived Experiences

World Obesity Federation | 26 Nov 2025
World Obesity Federation is looking for short videos to be part of a people led film for world obesity day. You can be part of this campaign by recording a short video (10-20 seconds per question) responding to up to three of the following questions:
Participants from across the global obesity network - including experts, advocates, youth voices, community workers, healthcare professionals, and people with lived experience - will answer these questions with a short personal response, delivered straight to camera. The film will be shot in an authentic, social-first style, using mobile footage or UGC where in-person interviews aren’t possible. This global montage of voices will showcase diverse, genuine perspectives that reinforce the campaign’s core message: that change is possible when we act together to understand, prevent, and address obesity at every stage of life. Responses can range from quick, impactful statements (3–5 seconds) to more specific, actionable examples - e.g “We need to introduce a sugar tax, like the South African government - as stats have shown that this really works.”
Feel free to provide a written statement instead of recording a video if that is more comfortable.
Please share your video or statement with yfafowora@worldobesity.org
