The Department of Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health (NMH/MH) of the Pan American Health Organization launched Pahola, the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) digital health specialist on Alcohol Use. This event took place on 19 November 2021, at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). Pahola can interact with anyone interested in talking about their alcohol consumption, assessing their risk, reducing or stopping alcohol, or seeking resources for treatment and recovery, and can be scaled up to have a global reach. Pahola will be available in three languages, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
