Severe Asthma Patient Charter

The Severe Asthma Patient Charter, a document created to define core principles for what people living with severe asthma should expect from their care and treatment. The charter has six core principles that advocate for timely specialist referral and diagnosis, understanding of individual disease type, access to treatments that reduce daily life impact, reduced reliance on systemic corticosteroids, and high-quality care regardless of geographic location. It is designed to mobilize governments, healthcare providers, policymakers, industry partners, patients, and caregivers to work together to improve outcomes and address the unmet needs and burden of severe asthma. The goal is better care, increased awareness, and more consistent standards worldwide.
